Reinforcing fabric i Canvas should always be used when performing repairs on very flexible leathers that have a continuous tear or hole that reaches all the way to the padding underneath the leather.

The reinforcing fabric should be cut at least 11-.5 cm (diameter) larger than the hole to be repaired. After the reinforcement fabric is in place, it should be glued and processed to lie "flat" so that no outline of the reinforcement fabric can be seen on the top side.
